Problems with Dual booting XP and Red Hat 9

I have successfully installed Red Hat 9 on a separate hard drive from xp. However my problem is with trying to dual boot xp and linux. When I installed linux I choose to install the boot loader on the linux partition instead of the on the MBR. I have tried to edit the boot.ini file to include linux on the boot menu but it is not able to load linux(maybe I am putting in the wrong files). Another thing is that I am also able to boot to linux if I put the boot disk in when the computer starts up. If anybody knows how I can boot to linux without the floppy disk please help me!! Thanks
