Problem with wine


i can't execute windows mediaplayer using wine
and also i can't execute KazaaLite
both the programs are very essential for me
please help..
The error messages are

Media Player..

Invoking /opt/wine/bin/wine.bin wmplayer.exe ...
When you are running with a native NT directory specify
'Profile=<profiledirectory>' or disable loading of Windows
registry (LoadWindowsRegistryFiles=N)
fixme:shell:SHGetSpecialFolderPathA folder unknown, please add.
Wine exited with a successful status
But Nothing Happened

KazaaLite..

Also i got an error message "Could not load Topsearch.dll"

you need to look at winehq for information about compatability (google.com) but wine is NOT a solution to everything. it WILL fail, and it WILL annoy you. why are you trying to use media player? there is next to nothing that you can't play under linux, esp via http://mplayerhq.hu

wine should be a VERY last resort... always look for native applications first.

i am using mplayer ,i included Media Player bcoz both the errors for Kazaa and MediaPlayer are almost same

i've heard of problems with kazaa on wine but read that win media player works with it... i use winex (wine with directx) but don't use it for much other than AIM (im unable to find an aim client i like for linux )
