Problem with GUI install with Sabayon linux

Hi,

I have a AMD X2 4600 with NVidia AGP 6600 graphics card. Whenever I try a GUI it complains about my graphics card and I get stupid monitor sizes. My only other option is a text based install. I was wondering what it was like before I go that route.

Regards

Mat

Last time (a wile ago) I tried you needed to add some parameters at boot to get the graphics right.
It's someting like res=*x* as I think recalling.

If the graphic installer is based on gentoo (likely)you might want to avoid it.

Text mode installation should be OK.

Once installed you can re-configure the xorg to suit the hardware. The process is quite simple and you can keep try and error, by hooping between GUI and terminal modes, until everything is perfect.

Some installers allows you to specify the resolution in the installation but text install is a sure fire move.
