problem using 3g modem on Acer Aspire One Linpus Linux
My Acer One does not recognise my Three Modem (HUAWEI E220)i am new to linux and need help getting connected. I understand Acer are working on this problem but am looking for a solution sooner if possible. Can anyone help?

You might do a search here at www.google.com/linux and use the search string ' HUAWEI E220 ' and read the many links there. Dont have one so cant be of specific help.
You need to have internet access on for the following steps.
Also, configure on other computer the 3G pen not to ask PIN.
First one needs to know how to add new components to Linpus Linux on the AAO computer.
Press ALT and F2 at the same time and accept "Terminal" pressing enter.
There write the commands:
sudo su
passwd (to choose a root password needed next)
xfce-setting-show
there should appear a window with some large icons;
press the one "Desktop" and inside the tab "Behavior" and mark the option:
Show Desktop menu on right click
close it all and at the regular desktop, at any grey position,
press the right button;
on that menu go please to system, and add/remove app.
search for "3G"
