Problem mounting NTFS.

I have fedora 8 installed on a machine together with windows xp.The problem is that when i try to mount the ntfs partitions i get an error that the system cannot mount "ntfs-3g" since its not recognised by the system.I have installed fedora 8 on other machines and its still able to mount ntfs partitions

Is the ntfs-3g module loaded/installed/supported by the current kernel? What's the exact error message?

Install the ntfs-3g, ntfsprogs and the fuse packages, if they aren't already. Then modprobe the "fuse" kernel module. Ntfs-3g is a userland driver that uses fuse.
