What distro are you using? There are several different package management systems. The more we know about your system, the better we can help you.

If it's Arch, I can't help a lot, as I haven't used it, but the general answer would be that you are missing the packages listed under the "Unresolved Dependencies" list. You might try looking for and installing them.

Firstly, please try to provide as much information as possible regarding the distro you are using - I figure you're using Fedora 12 based on the error output in your post.

This is an indication that yum could not resolve (that is find) the dependencies for your required package install - in the repositories you have configured.

Please post the output of:

Code:
#yum repolist
and

Code:
#ls -la /etc/yum.repos.d/
and

Code:
# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/*

Hi Manish,

I see you have a whole list of repositories; both Fedora supported and unsupported.

I think the best way to troubleshoot is to try to install one of the misbehaving packages via the command line - thus try yum install XXX - instead of trying to install XXX via the GUI interface - and see what output is is produced.

This should tell you what repo's yum is actually trying to invoke for your dependencies - I notice the majority of your repo's are not enabled.

Well your original post says you were trying to install certain packages via the GUI interface - so YOU should know which ones were not installing properly?

Manish, I seriously don't want to be rude - but are you for real???

No I cannot do this - and I will not do this...this site is not for people to do your work for you - its for you to learn and solve the problem.

Further to this, opening up your computer to some random person on the internet to solve a problem is like walking in front of a bus - you're asking for your system to be compromised and destroyed - if this is in a working environment you can get yourself fired for stunts like this.

As much as I'd like to I'm pretty much done helping you with this.

Nobody can help with installing an unknown package.

You must have some idea about the application name ?

Please tell.
