If you are burning a normal cd why are you using dvdrecord? You should be using cdrecord instead. Also there is a problem with your media, it seems like you need 80 minute media instead of 74 minute media (according to the error message) in order to burn the iso properly.

Hi

I manage to write to cd with dvdrecord.... , very happy about that.

So that problem is fixed. Now I need to write to dvd because the iso is growing to 1.1 gb. I used the following cmd. (The iso creations cmd was mkisofs -r -J -o backup.iso /backup)

dvdrecord -v dev=2,0,0 -dao speed=4 -eject /backup.iso

I only got input/output errors and some size errors, but that I ignored with a switch ignsize

I used dvd + mediums.

Any suggestions ?
