Can this printer print 'tamil' with other applications ?
With another OS ?

Some dot matrix printers will only print the fonts already
present in the printer, I suppose.

Example Epson dot matrix, with Tamil fonts

Are you able to read tamil text/doc content ?

The workarround might be to convert tamil text/doc file to pdf and try again.
