I am using a Dell all-in-one with a 2nd monitor attached. Arch linux and KDE. Everything was working great. I updated my packages two days ago and now when I put the computer to sleep the Dell monitor does not come back on when I resume by moving the mouse. I am able to bring it back by various methods: I can log out and back in, switch users, change screen resolution, or, switch to unified output.

If anyone knows how to fix the problem I would greatly appreciate the help. Or if someone knows a bash command to bring back the display after sleeping that would be helpful as well. Thank you.

i don't know the solution but you can use simple while loop with and xrandr to set resolution autmaticaly when mouse is moved..

Thanks, yooy, for your response. xrandr helps. I don't need to detect mouse movements. I just enter the command manually on the monitor that turns on.
