Should I install it on HD2 ( is that a big enough space for a FEDORA 3 Install?
|
Yes, 6Gb is enough for learning, just not installing everything on the cds, your movies and/or MP3 collection on. I have Fedora 3 installed on a 5gb partition, however that does not include /home (where you personal data e.g. mp3s, movies etc is stored) which is on another, 28Gb, partition.

If not and I need to partion my HD1 . What about the issue of it being currently format in NFTS? I thought I read somewhere that Lunix will not be able to read my NFTS drives?

Linux can read, but not write (including formatting) NTFS.

Sorry for the questions if they are stupid.

The only stupid question is the one not asked.
IMO I would partition HD2 with a 5Gb root partition and 1Gb swap partition and use this for playing around and getting used to Linux.
When you have got used to linux, you can just chuck out windows and set it all up exactly the way you want it ;o).
