please help me!! i cant go online with linux redhat 8.0


as the topic describes i cant go online in the operative system linux redhat 8.0 ,, it does not sems as tough my computer can find the modem its a Conexant intl hsdi v92 mini pci modem (com4)....

i'm afraid that linux does not support many pci modems
i have 5 conexant modems and i couldnt get linux to work with any of them

there is a web site that might help you

there are some downloadable rpm's for conexant modems but its not for the faint hearted or the inexperienced

in the end i bought an external Zoom 56k modem which linux saw first time
