Playlist Problem on MPlayer...

I've looked around the Forum and on the Net and drawn a blank on this one. When MPlayer transfers from one file to another(video) the audio stream carries on fine, but the video is temporarily lost. Coming out of full screen, or right clicking on the mouse usually shocks it back to life, but is there a way of sorting this out through the preferences, as I'm not confident enough to deal with code and command lines yet? Wuss, I know... I'm using Mandrake 10.1 OE, with Gnome 2.6 desktop and Nautilus file manager if that helps with the diagnosis! Also, is there any way of configuring the playlist to just show the Home and desktop folders, rather than everything on my computer?

Thanx in advance!
