Unhappy Pihole needs FTL v5.8.1 updated however all repo sources have died out on 16.04 Solved

As the title states we have a pickle of a problem, I run pihole on my odroid-c2 which is running Ubuntu 16.04. There is no way that I can update it to a newer version so I am stuck with having to deal with 16.04 repos, which most of have died / expired. I can install FTL v5.8.1 manually, but I don't know how. I know where to get the source for it https://github.com/pi-hole/FTL/releases/tag/v5.8.1
but that's about as far as my linux knowledge takes me. I know I would have to grab one of the packages from github, but I don't know which version to choose, there are so many to pick from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S Yes I have tried pihole -up which spits out an error [✗] Update local cache of available packages
Error: Unable to update package cache. Please try "apt-get update"
Unable to complete update, please contact Pi-hole Support

From FTL v5.8.1 https://github.com/pi-hole/FTL/releases/tag/v5.8.1
? Could be pihole-FTL-aarch64-linux-gnu https://github.com/pi-hole/FTL/relea...ch64-linux-gnu

Suggest :
Code:
sudo cp pihole-FTL-aarch64-linux-gnu /usr/local/bin/
... and if PIHOLE requires another file name, like FTL or ftl:
Code:
cd /usr/local/bin/
ln -s pihole-FTL-aarch64-linux-gnu ftl
ln -s pihole-FTL-aarch64-linux-gnu FTL
