pcmcia to pci bridge + wlan_ng driver
Hi guys,
I've just downloaded RedHat 8.0 and want to install it. But I have a problem even before I've started.
I have a RICOH full PCMCIA to PCI adapter (RL5C475) - no just a bridge, it supports full hot-swap as usual with PCMCIA and my windows sees is as PCMCIA slot. In my snooping around I found it is compatible piece of hardware.
BUT - I've tried to install this on RedHat 7.3. It saw the PCMCIA bridge, but after plugging in the wlan nic it would get into a loop of resetting that card (+ the annoying messages with it). The card inside was EnGenius (netgate ) EL-2511CD+ - (PRISM2.5)
So I just want to install pcmcia_cs drivers this time and build linux-wlan-ng for PCMCIA card (no _PLX) and pray. What do you think?
:-)
ALSO last version 7.3, when I made one of the steps to build the wlan-ng driver it needed .config file from the kernel source, but even in /usr/src/configs/*.* I couldn't find it... Any ideas or is it different in 8.0 version?
Thanks for your patience with me
Tomas
