PCMCIA: No... but wait, I do...

I just installed SuSE 8.0 on my old Toshiba Satellite 225CDS, which until now ran Win 98 and is going to be my ease into Linux.

My problem is that my PCMCIA Wireless Card (Dell TrueMobile) isn't working. Perhaps the first problem is that Linux isn't even recognizing the PCMCIA part of my computer.

Bear in mind that I just installed this a little over 3 hours ago, and I've been scouring the net trying to find answers, but there's been nothing (or at least nothing that I can understand).

I really want to run Linux, but I need an net connection.

Any advice?

This might be a good starting point...

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pcmcia-cs/

this is installed by default on a lot of distros (for example my RH7.3 distro did it by default when I recently installed it on an old IBM thinkpad)

It contains lots of network drivers for various PCMCIA cards (HINT: your Dell may actually be manufactured by 3com?)

Cheers
Jo
