Password and ID lost at Installation on ASUS Eee Laptop 1000HE


UNABLE TO SIGN IN . I TRIED INFO I PROVIDED AT REGISTRATION A WEEK AFTER I INSTALLED ZORIN 10 (cd 64)

Have you checked to see that your Caps Lock key isn't activated by accident? Passwords are case-sensitive.

Welcome to LQ.

As hydrurga has mentioned, first make sure that your Caps Lock is OFF.

Ideally you need to refer to another computer so that you can easily follow these instructions for resetting both your username and password:
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword

Insert the USB flash drive that you used to install Zorin and boot up the laptop, whilst holding down the Shift key.

Select recovery mode and then follow the rest of the instructions on the other computer.

Create a new username and a new password.
