Partitioning problems in SuSE 7.2

Yo,

i have SuSE Linux 7.2 and i tried to install it but when i get to "Shrink WIN Partition" it says it can't do that because the partition has errors. I tried defrag and scandisk and disabled the Win SWAP but it still doesn't work.

Here are my specs:
1.4 GHz Athlon
512 MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX 400 64 MB
30 GB Harddrive in IDE
W98se

Can anybody help me?

thanx,
fymonkey

try to resize it within windows partition magic will do the thing, then you can delete the partition you want linux to be installed on and reformat it into ext3 or reiserfs or whatever you like most.

there are free equivalents of partition magic. an easy simple on is called 'presizer' which can resizer partitions, or there's fips, which comes with most linux distros which split's partitions in dos.
