Opening KDE

This is probably a very "low" question. I am using Mandrake 9.1, do I have to install kde, or will it be installed with the os. Also, how do I launck it from the terminal?

In Mandrake installing KDE is an install option and the default is that KDE is installed.

Mandrake will install kdm which is a graphical login manager. Once you log in through kdm KDE will be started unless you say otherwise.

It is possible to install Mandrake so that you begin at the command prompt. If you install Mandrake this way then you start KDE with the command:
