In order to proceed, we need more detail of the current state of things, both hardware and software. Please provide here using code tags around what you paste here (to preserve the output formatting), the input and output run from an X terminal as follows:
Code:
inxi -SGy
parted -l
To facilitate collecting this output with little or no typing involved, commands can be redirected to a file by appending to each command
Code:
> somefilenameofyourchoosing.txt
Any .txt files you create this way can be copied to USB device or across a LAN if you are unable to provide this output directly using your installed Linux distro. This commands are OK to run from an OS other than the one installed.

Also please upload to a pastebin the file Xorg.0.log. It should be in /var/log/, but may be in ~/.local/share/xorg/. If you are currently using Fedora, this can be easily done with this command:
Code:
fpaste /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Then provide here the URL that results from that command. If you are using Debian or Ubuntu or Mint, substitute pastebinit for fpaste. If using openSUSE, substitute susepaste for fpaste. Most distros provide similar commands. The Xorg.0.log you share needs to come from your installed distro, not an ordinary live media environment.

I'm not a Gnome user, so don't know anything to suggest other than trying to attract the attention of Gnome users. If you can't manage that here, you might want to inquire on irc://irc.libera.chat/#fedora, irc://irc.libera.chat/wayland, Freenode's fedora or wayland channels, an NVidia forum, or on Fedora's forums or mailing lists. First thing to do would be to ask the mods to move this either to Fedora or Desktop. This kind of problem is rather unusual for the newbie forum, and might not be able to catch the attention it needs.

Xorg.0.log shows several
Code:
(EE) event2 - Logitech G300s Optical Gaming Mouse: client bug: event processing lagging behind by 11ms, your system is too slow
instances confirming the behavior, but I see nothing to suggest why it happens. Your system specs indicate obvious power, thus can't be slow enough to cause this unless some very intensive I/O or corrupt behavior is going on on your system somewhere, hogging CPU.

Have you tried other mice? It could be your mouse is faulty.

There might be clues in the journal:
Code:
man journalctl
sudo journalctl -b
