Question nvidadriver and linker" in redhat8.


um.. now im confused. i think i wrote here but i cant se my own thread..
if it now did dissapear i write it again caus i need help. please dont get angry if i "spam".

ok to the question.
i am to install nvidia drivers in redhat 8, but when i type
"sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run"
as they say i only get this message:

ERROR: Unable to find the system utility `ld`; please make sure you have the
package 'binutils' installed. If you do have binutils installed,
then please check that `ld` is in your PATH.

see if u can install binutils from your distro cd's

go to whatever packaging tool your distro has and install it from there

otherwise, see if u can find it on the net
