I have a Dell laptop with Windows XP and Ubuntu 11.04 OS installed. I did some security updates and scans on Windows XP last night and now when I try to boot up Ubuntu 11.04 I receive the following error message:

GNU Grub version 1.99~rc1-13ubuntu3

Minimal Bash-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible, device or file completions.

Below is the results from the RESULTS.txt document.

Dells ship with some utilities that use the sectors after the MBR - and grub2 is particularly susceptible.
Boot a liveCD and re-install the initial boot code - read this.
