Smile Newby adopts Ubuntu for his baby eee pc

I finally got fed up with Windoze 7 on my EEE PC 1005PE and decided to have a go at Ubuntu. I am a Mac user so this was quite an easy step.
Set up was a breeze, and most surprising and welcoming was that everything just works. Very Mac like. I am VERY impressed.
Ubuntu works much more responsibly with the Atom processor than the Microsloth SH**te. I wish I had made the transition ages ago. Maybe I won't HATE this netbook quite as much now ( I lust over a Macbook Air!!).

Just curious, which version of Ubuntu did you install?

Glad you found something you like! My Acer Aspire One AOA150 came with WinXP installed; first thing I did was shrink the XP partition and install Ubuntu.
