Newbie need help with auditing relay server

Hi Guys,

I'm completely new to Linux and I have a task at hand.
The task is to audit IP's using Ubuntu smtp/relay server.
I need to know the list of IP's using it.
I will need help and contributions on how to proceed.

Ubuntu is a distro. We'll need to know MUCH more about the smtp/email configuration to provide any help.

@mellow060,

To give you a hint, look for "connect from" string in your maillog.

Now with some cool string/text manipulation, you may easily find out which IPs connected to your relay, how many emails they sent (message ID), how many bounced etc..
