new video card


Ok i set up my linux bvos with a new ati card from my old geforce card. When i went to reset the pc it gave me a fatal error. How do i get it to not go into the gui so i can change the card from geforce to ATI?

either boot into single user mode or runlevel 3, then configure accordingly to get that card working...

crap didnt work it said i can only do a mount on the lilo

When does it say "fatal error"?
You could try using a rescue CD, mounting your drive and change your X Config file manually
