Question New to Linux

I am New to Linux and I just recently obtained a Dell PE 2850 and wanted to put Linux on it I wanted to know what would be the best Linux to use for a server for a home network. I plan on running just DNS and DHCP to start with. Any ideasy or suggestions on which flavor of Linux I should use for a beginner for a server??

Distrowatch is always a good place to look for these type of questions. I did a search using servers as my search criterion. This is what Distrowatch replied.
