@AwesomeMachine-with the hard-drive disconnected completely I was able to load the Linux DVD and spent about an hour just looking around. I was able to connect to the internet wireless after I found the area to install the needed router password. I could not get Bluetooth working. Can I now install my hard-drive now and install Linux from the DVD and what should I look out for.
The DVD will not work with Secure Boot ON in the Bios but when I put it in Disable secure boot the DVD worked fine, this was with UEFI enabled.
Any thoughts on setting up partitions or should I just go with default.
@jefro-if you see my above post to AM you will see that I did connect wireless to the network, I will try and get my Bluetooth working after I get a full install on the hard-drive. I am open to any other help. How can I do a verify on a backup disk now that I have a working command processor? I have 4 DVD that are useless which I did not verify those.
Is there one of the partitions more apt for attack than any of the others? Do I need to run any security software and if so is there something you would recommend or does it come with some security like windows defender?
