@jefro-being I was only looking at the desktop from the now loading DVD I noticed it did not connect to the internet. I guess you could say I didn't try a bunch of stuff other than just looking around to see what might have been available. I did notice that me Bluetooth mouse wouldn't work so I stuck in a wired mouse to get that working. I suppose once I get a go ahead from AM I will try and install this to my hard-drive and find out what all may or may not work. I suppose this means I will not be connecting wireless to my router via the DVD? Sorry about my wording I was overjoyed when it was able to boot the DVD.

@AwesomeMachine-I most definitely will try and boot the DVD without the hard drive connected. I also will post my Bios settings for others needing help. The hard drive has not been formatted by me and I have not looked to see if it ever was from the factory.

Please give me a few more days for a reply there are several appointments I have to keep these next few days. You people are great and I know how valuable your time is and am honored for you to spend it on us unknowing.

Replies for peoples qustions

@AwesomeMachine-with the hard-drive disconnected completely I was able to load the Linux DVD and spent about an hour just looking around. I was able to connect to the internet wireless after I found the area to install the needed router password. I could not get Bluetooth working. Can I now install my hard-drive now and install Linux from the DVD and what should I look out for.
The DVD will not work with Secure Boot ON in the Bios but when I put it in Disable secure boot the DVD worked fine, this was with UEFI enabled.
Any thoughts on setting up partitions or should I just go with default.

@jefro-if you see my above post to AM you will see that I did connect wireless to the network, I will try and get my Bluetooth working after I get a full install on the hard-drive. I am open to any other help. How can I do a verify on a backup disk now that I have a working command processor? I have 4 DVD that are useless which I did not verify those.

Is there one of the partitions more apt for attack than any of the others? Do I need to run any security software and if so is there something you would recommend or does it come with some security like windows defender?
