Network Icon Issues

I accidentally removed my WiFi icon from Raspbian Gnu/Linux 10. I tried to put it back by reinstalling the network manager. Now if have a different icon in the menu bar but it is confusing. When you right click the icon it says Ethernet Network is disconnected and Wi-Fi network not ready. I have the PI attached to an Ethernet Cable and if I go to preferences/advanced network configuration in the menu I see 1 wired connection. Can someone help me get a working icon back in the menu bar

I do have Raspbian installed on a Pi but not currently in use. Can't remember the network management framework that was being used. Anyway, from a quick search online I found this old thread
which might do the trick
Quote:
Steps to enable the Wifi Config icon:

1. Right click on the task bar and select "Add/Remove Panel items"
2. Click "Add" button from the right side panel (make sure you are in Panel Applets tab).
3 From the "Add plugin to panel" window choose "Wifi Networks (dhcpcdui)" and click Add button.
