network adapter help

i posted this in the distributions forum first, but i figured it was probably related to this forum more...

hey,

i am trying to install suse linux by booting from the boot.iso file and then installing over the network... However, i am installing this on a laptop and don't know how to get it to get an internet connection.

i have both an wired ethernet connection and wireless ethernet connection so which ever is easier to configure will be best. i found the ethernet adapter in the suse manual install, but it asked for parameters and i just left if blank because i did not know what needed to go there. i have a hp pavilion ze5155 laptop with a national semiconductor DP8381x series...

and if it is easier to configure the wireless, i have a dwl-g650 pcmcia card...

It shouldn't need any parameters, normally, unless
it's connected to a switch/hub that tries to auto-negotiate
several things, and the card does the same. That way
they may be missing out on each other.

Have you got any output from the boot process to
share with us?

Cheers,
Tink
