I been searching for a solution for weeks and can't figure it out. Tried researching the maze of backports and downloading but I don't even know if that's the answer and doubt I did it correctly anyhow.
I am also trying to connect wifi pineapple in Kali, however the result is the same I don't see its ip 172.16.46.1. I feel its related.
I have included my configs, I hope someone knows what up. Thank you in advance

A VirtualBox guest has limited access to physical hardware and the only way with wifi is using a USB adapter. The virtual network adapter always appears as wired to the guest regardless of the actual host device.

Maybe not, is this wifi pineapple a USB adapter or just software? If it is a USB adapter then you have to connect it to the guest in the devices pull down menu.
If it just software then yes you need a USB adapter in order for the guest to access physical hardware.
No, but a web search should provide some information.
great, thx for possible out with the pineapple. Otherwise if I was to swap wifi cards, do you have a suggestion for which and or what would best adapter for me
