Im running Suse 9.2 on a new laptop of mine, and im trying to get the built in wireless adapter to work. I downloaded ndiswrapper v1.2 and am trying to follow the instructions on the web page for installation, but i've run into problems at the "make install" command.
first i recieved the the following error:
Quote:
Can't find kernel sources in /lib/modules/2.6.8-24.16-smp/build; give the path to the kernel sources with KSRC=<path> argument to make
|
so i installed the kernel-source package and assigned the path to the variable KSRC like it asked. When i run "make install" again it look like it processes about 8-10 files (hal.o, iw_ndis.o, loader.o, etc)then drops this error:
Quote:
/usr/src/linux-2.6.8-24/scripts/Makefile.modpost:38: .config: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** No rule to make target '.config'. Stop.

anyone know what to do with this error?
I'm still fairly new to linux so I could have easily missed something.
any other potetnial pitfalls i can avoid?
Thanks in advance for your help!
