nano removes ifconfig ?


Im using mandrake 9.1

I was able to issue ifconfig file but now I installed nano and everytime I try and type ifconfig shows:
bash: ifconfig: command not found

Are you root when you do this? And what does nano have to do with it?

Try `/sbin/ifconfig`

No problem. But evil_Tak's right in that the issue is that /sbin is usually on root's path and not on user's. I just usually solve it by 'su' since doing anything further usually leads to su'ing anyway and certain things still result in a 'permission denied' otherwise.
