You are using old versions of k3b and of growisofs. You are getting a write error returned from the driver for the dvd.

Do you have dvd burner support available in your packages, or only CD burner support? Is the dvd a recent upgrade, or has it been there? If it has been there, did it ever work as a burner? Can you burn a cd?

Can you read from the dvd? Using a cd? Using a dvd?

Looks to me like you need to upgrade some packages.
