i was having trouble with slackware,so i installed a few mini distros to see if they would be any easier to compile stuff on...but when i boot from linux.bat in say monkey it boots the monkey kernel and recognises all the files i have in that distro but gives me the login and file system for slackware even though theyre in different dirs (slackware and monkey)..i tried changing it to linux1.bat but it didnt make a difference.theyre both on the dos partition so dont they only use that drive when u boot them...stupid q i know but.And could anyone give me a runthrough of all the links etc that u need to compile a c script cos i can`t think what i`ve missed but i still get told all my header files don`t exist when i gcc...and do u have to have the kernel source to compile?
