Install ubuntu-restricted-extras from Synaptic. You can use Rhythmbox music player to play mp3 music.

You can get ubuntu-restricted-extras package from internet (download it first). Search in search engine with those word. Or, you can buy Ubuntu cd / dvd repositories.

DO NOT get it from the internet. it's in the repositories!
Maybe you need to activate the additional repositories:
Synaptic - Settings - Repositories
Just check the ones you want, save and then click reload in the top left corner.

Do a search for Automatix and install it.

It will load a bag of stuff automatically for you and save a hassle.

Cheers

Dott,
Another player that I like fr its simplicity is Aqualung. I find most of those others too "in your face". Aqualung is very neat and simple.

Cheers
