Mounting partitions in RH9

i have a little problem in RH9 .The problem is that i v\cannot mount my had disk partitions. I used to do iy easily in KDE but now it is not working.
I give the command"/dev/hda8"and it says that mount point doesn't exists. All the partitions are of FAT32.Please Help!

what you're saying does not make sense. running "/dev/hda8" wouldn't ever say that the mount point does not exist, wht WOULD say that is something like:

mount /dev/hda8 /mnt/i_am_a_biscuit

which means that there is no directoy called i_am_a_biscuit in the mnt directory.

i only gave an example of mounting one partition OK! Now will u plerase tell me the whole procedure.
