Ok, look in /var see if there is anything in there. If not, then let's make the directory it's asking for:
mkdir -p /var/log/mount/slackware
Then, figure out which device your cdrom is:
Primary Master = /dev/hda
Primary Slave = /dev/hdb
Secondary Master = /dev/hdc
Secondary Slave = /dev/hdd
After that, using the command from fancypiper, go ahead and mount the device:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdx /var/log/mount/slackware
replacing /dev/hdx with the proper device from my table above

mounting

ok i did all of that and now it says that the device is right protected and that I should reboot my machine, i then typed setup and it says cant unmount /var/log/mount.

Oh man! This is slightly slackware specific, you might have better luck getting this thread moved to the slack forum. Notify a mod and request them to move it if you believe that may be your best bet.

byt3, could you descirbe (in details) what you do during the instalation? It's very strange error, something is wrong for sure, but now I don't have an idea what can it be.
