modprobe


hi all,
i have suse 7.2 installed.
when suse is booting in init3 i become an error code from "modprobe"!

"modprobe: Can`t open dependencies file/lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/modules.dep (No such file or directory)"

have anybody some idea what happend ?

run depmod -a

hi,
thx for answer
when i run "depmod -a" the system return
"depmod: Can`t open /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/modules.dep for writing"

does that directory exist?
if not, you don't have the modules installed for
the kernel you are using.
