Ok I need some real help i have been refred to pages on port forwarding that dosnt really help me. I am running mandrake firewall and i know it uses shorewall. How do i go about configuring my firewall to exccept all incoming traffic on port 8080 and forward it to a local machine on my network. If i could get someone to help me please I am stuck. I kind of figured u cant do it from the web interface because i tried and its not working. I read some of the help pages and they dont help so if someone can help i would appreciate it and if u need any information please let me know.

Best way is to edit the actuall shorewall config files, tho it's been a while since I've done it... I went to smoothwall on a separate box which has a nice web interface to do it...

The shorewall docs and help got me through okay... I found you had to stop and start shorewall and the net connection for the changes to take effect...
