Post Migration from HPUX to REL5

We have our source codes migrated from HP-UX to LINUX REL 5.
In some of the scripts, certain flags like -DHPUX -DUNIX have been use.
I wanted to know, what can replace these flags in LINUX?

then certain optimization flags are also used like +O2, etc. these give an error as O2:command not found in Linux.
What can be the proper replacement for them?

Hi, welcome to LQ!

It would be helpful if you copied & pasted the relevant code
snippets in CODE tags here, from your description alone people
won't be able to make too many suggestions.

Are those build scripts for an in-house application?
