Hi,
Mencoder does not want to take the option mpegopts
and return the message "mpegopts not an option".
How come?
I am running mencoder-1.0-0.pre6.8.2.102mdk
MEncoder 1.0pre6-3.4.3 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team
This is the command I am trying to run (lifted from the doc for PAL format)
This from chapter 8 (mplayer website doc. Funny on mandy the doc finishes at chapter 7) .
On my PC the manpage does noy have mpegopts whereas
http://mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1.html does
mencoder -oac lavc -ovc lavc -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd -vf scale=720:576,\
harddup -srate 48000 -af lavcresample=48000 -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:\
vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_maxrate=9800:vbitrate=5000:keyint=15:acodec=ac3:\
abitrate=192:aspect=16/9 -ofps 25 \
-o movie.mpg movie.avi
(converting a digital camera avi file 320x200 pixel 1 ch audio to PAL-dvdauthor compliant).
(Am only interested in mencoder, no other avi to dvd methods
I know a few others, but I want to learn about mencoder)
no luck with the doc on mplayer HQ, and nothing found about
problems with mpegopts in the mencoder mailing lists
If I remove -mpegopts format=dvd then the encoding goes ahead,
but then the file is not dvdauthor compliant... well the good option
has been removed, hasn't it?
And dvdauthor spills messages about not finding the first vobu,
and scr moving backward. The mpeg is playable with mplayer.
Thanks for the help
PS: I am aware of techniques splitting ac3 and mpeg and remultiplexing,
and software like avidemux. I want to make mencoder work because
it is 1 command line, and because it naggs me it does not work on my PC
