Map Network Drive Function For Ubuntu

Hi LQ members,
I like to know if I can have the map network drive function that is in window in ubuntu.I have 2 ubuntu system in my local network workgroup.I like to map the harddisk that is in my "Dell" system to the other "Oem" system so that I can access it when the "Dell" system is shut down.May I know how should I go about doing it in ubuntu so that the "map network drive" function is available on both the system or on either system.

Thanks

If the system is shut down, you cannot access any of its resources.

However, this link may be what you're looking for. Basically, once you have Samba up and running on both machines, you just have to add a line to /etc/fstab. Then, whenever "Dell" is turned on, you can use files that are there.
