Mandriva Root Password

I am new to this forum.

And

I am new to the world of Linux.


I want to know , is there any way to reset the root password in Mandriva Linux?

Yes, of course. Just open a root terminal and type this command:

passwd

Then, follow the prompts. Good Luck.

And if you forgot the password, at the boot screen (where you choose Mandriva/Failsafe/Windows...), choose more options (F2 if I remember correctly), add " 1" at the end of the boot line (this is called "single-user mode") and use the passwd command as suggested.
