When exactly did you get this error? What are you trying to do exactly? More details get better replies.

For example while installing the nvidia drivers I have two files
NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-4191.src.rpm
and
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-4191.src.rpm
I can open the first one with command
rpm --rebuild NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-4191.src.rpm
but when I type the same command for the second one I get an error message like this
rpm compiling errors
user buildmeister doesnt exists - using root instead
group buildmeister doesnt exists - using root instead
user buildmeister doesnt exists - using root instead
group buildmeister doesnt exists - using root instead
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.68240 output error (%install)

I have seen it in some other rpm packages too can you please help me _?
(mandrake 10.0)
