hi,

thanks for the link.

i have one more question .

if i do 'dd' command will it write all the floppy disk info and
tables as part of the image, or just the files. because i need to write all the info and tables.

We answered this, but not in exactly these words....

dd copies all the bits on the drive, partition, whatever. ALL the bits = EVERYTHING.

dd does not undestand files, filesystems, etc. It only copies bits.

hi,

sorry for the late reply.

i created the floppy and had zip file that required password. I opened the image using winhex, in "pw=" the password doesnt show...

i was wondering if i put the password there myself would it damage the file or would it damage the image?
