MAKEing WINE on kubuntu 6.06?
I've just installed kubuntu 6.06 (dapper drake) on my athlon-64 system
I'm new to Linux, and there are a couple of Windows apps I would like to continue using for the time being, primarily Forte Agent. Naturally, I'd like to use WINE to enable me to use Agent, but I've hit a problem.
There are no compiled amd64 binaries of wine available for kubuntu. As far as I'm aware that means I have to download the source and compile it myself. I've never done this before, and I'm having some trouble.
WineHQ claims to have a source file (url deleted) at repository (url deleted), but neither Adept nor myself can find anything there.
They have a link to an older version at sourceforge
(url deleted)
I've downloaded and extracted this file, but then what do I do?
I've tried running make in the directory, but it claims there is no makefile. When I look at the directory in Konqueror, there is a file called aclocal.m4 which is supposed to be a makefile.
