Makefile

If Anyone can help me make understand what these two statements are doing in Makefile:

oldconfig: symlinks
$(CONFIG_SHELL) scripts/Configure -d arch/$(ARCH)/config.in

oldconfig_nonint: symlinks
$(CONFIG_SHELL) scripts/Configure -D arch/$(ARCH)/config.in

?

Looks like they're running a configuration script for your architecture.

I guess they are options to $CONFIG_SHELL, whatever that may be. (is it defined somewhere else in the makefile?) I assume it's to tell the configuration program to pull in the specified config.in file for your architecture.
