Smile Make drivers for an Addon NWP210 wireless card in Mint12 - But HOW?

Can anyone tell me how to "make" and install the linux drivers provided by Addon for their wireless card?

Please see attached screenshots of the folder contents. Hope this helps as it's jibberish to me.

The system is a foxconn board, AMD 64x2 2200 cpu, ATI Radeon HD 5450 gpu. I have Linux Mint 12 installed.

I have years of experience with Ms products but this has me foxed.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to, you should be able to install the drivers for that card (STA2860 chip) with the Additional Drivers program.

Hi - thanks for the reply. I have tried this but only the drivers for my ATI card appear in the Additional Drivers window and I can't get it to access the wifi card drivers.

It appears that the only functions I can access ie. Network setup etc. are either grayed out and can't be accessed or when commands are entered, these are immediately lost or prove to be ineffective. Synaptic cannot access the files and the Package Manager is also useless (unless I'm missing something)

The fact that the wifi was in use during the install and has since become unusable is driving me nuts

Solved - Installed Ubuntu 12

Mint 12 has serious issues with non-working wireless functions. It's not a drivers issue - it's Mint.

Ubuntu 12 was a much smaller download than Mint and installed and functioned perfectly first time.

As Unity is not my favourite, I plan to try Mint 12 KDE and Mint 13 Cinnamon. Just hope the downloads were worth it.
