LTSP Configuration

I am trying to configure LTSP Server on a Knoppix Live CD. I started the
knoppix-terminalserver

And when it comes to Checking DHCP Connection it fails

It says
Sending DHCP broadcast from device eth0 Operation failed

I start the client using Etherboot Floppy
It Says Searching for Server(DHCP).... NO IP Address
.No IP Address
.No IP Address
.No IP Address

I have connected bothe the pc with LAN cable with no router/hub in between

Please Help me how to configure the same

I am new to this process

Thanks in advance

well do you have a dhcp server running on the local network, or a dhcp relay agent?

if you don't know what a dhcp server is, to be honest i'd question your attempt to run LTSP in the first place. look into the documentation for dhcpd somewhere. i assume there's no real worthwihle way of running LTSP without a DHCP server.
