After a clean install of Ubuntu 7.0.4
I decided to run Berly and enable a restricted
video driver offered by automatix.
The driver of corse is for my Nvidia two 7900s
Im not sure what has caused the loss of my
window borders. If i wanna close minimize or maximize
a window or folder i have to go to bottom of screen right click and select the option there,Also i cant drag windows or folders
any suggestions
Other wise ill just go thru the install again.
Unfortunatly if i do an install of 7.0.4 instead of
6.10 i dont have the ability to upload the macromedia flash plugin
and a clean install takes soooo much longer that way.
Odd that the first time i installed 6.10 and upgraded to 7.0.4
beryl was a complete success.
For some odd reson 7.0.4 doesnt come with the ability to upload flash in firefox.
So is there a way to save alot of trouble and time and get my window borders back.
Ok creating a new user helped, I was able to see my borders again!
As soon as either Desktop Effects or Berly was enabled the
borders dissapeared AGAIN
This is enough to keep me on my windows box
Help before i do somthing stupid like give up on Linux!
