Lost internet access on Linpus Linux Lite v1.0.13.E

My Acer Aspire 1 with above for just over 1 year & all has been fine.

i have just installed updates 180085 and 180048 & i now cannot access internet. when i click on firefox nothing happens. the wikipedia & google maps icons dont work either i have tried via ethernet, wireless & 3G; my router is working fine. i have also gone into BIOS to save default settings which made no difference. the updater wont allow me to delete these files. i would be grateful for help

What's the output of ifconfig?:

Did you update the kernel? Maybe you do not have the interface's kernel modules.

thanks, i have found the ifconfig file but i get a message saying 'could not open folder nautilus file manager is not running'. i cannot find this file manager on the system
